From great coffee and fresh croissants to toasties, açaí bowls and plenty more, there’s something for everyone.

It’s fantastic to see another local business getting involved in the sporting community, and we’d encourage our members to pop down, give them a try and show them some support.

DLTC Senior League 2026

It’s been a big season for two of our ladies’ teams in the DLTC Senior League.

GLTC 3 Promoted! 🎉
Huge congratulations to GLTC 3 on winning promotion to class 3. A brilliant effort all season and a well-deserved result. Well done, ladies!

GLTC 1: Semi-finals 🎉
GLTC 1 lost their semi-final against a very strong Sandycove side, so promotion wasn’t to be this time. Even so, the team had a fantastic campaign, enjoyed every minute of it and has so much to be proud of. Reaching the semi-final is a great achievement.

Well done to both teams for representing the club so well this season! 🎾

We're delighted to announce a new partnership with The Cat & Cage, joining us as a valued partner of Glasnevin Lawn Tennis Club.

Our partnership is about much more than sponsorship. It's about bringing people together, supporting local businesses and creating new opportunities for our members and the wider Glasnevin community.

We also hope to bring live music and other social experiences to our members through this relationship.

A Winning Weekend for GLTC Club Players

Huge well done to Michael Bannon on winning the U18 doubles at the recent T1000 tournament in Castleknock. A fantastic achievement! Well done also to Brian O'Reilly, winner of the Class 5 singles in the Donabate Open, and to Dylan Bowe, runner-up in the Class 3 doubles.

GLTC Daffodil Day Coffee Morning

A huge thank you to all at GLTC, who supported the Daffodil Day Coffee Morning at the club on Saturday 21st March. Thank you to all who donated, baked, gave raffle prizes, put out the word, and volunteered their time. It was a huge collective effort, and we raised the amazing sum of €8,800 for the fight against cancer. 🌼🌼🌼

GLTC Tennis Ireland Clubmark

The Tennis Ireland Clubmark is an accreditation programme which aims to identify, develop, accredit and recognise high quality tennis clubs and their contribution to the development of tennis. To be accredited, tennis Clubs need to meet certain standards in the areas of effective organisation, management, safety, child welfare, risk management, equality and inclusion, organised play and scoring, competition, coaching, player development, outreach programmes, communication and public relations.

From L-R: Niall Brogan (GLTC), Kevin Quinn (TI CEO), Paul Barrry (GLTC), Ann Marie Breen (TI Regional Development Officer), Scott Priestnall (GLTC), Deirdre Brady (Leinster Tennis)

The committee are happy to inform members that Glasnevin Lawn Tennis Club has been awarded the Clubmark Silver accreditation by Tennis Ireland. Our Clubmark plaque will be presented by Tennis Ireland CEO Kevin Quinn on Friday 28th February 2025.

The Programme is designed to provide clubs with the resources to develop a Club Development Strategy that will:

• Assist club management to organise for success.

• Continue to develop programmes that will satisfy the needs of all members.

• Attract new club members whilst retaining current members.

• Guarantee a ‘quality standard’ in specific areas of your club

Only a small number of tennis clubs have achieved the TI Clubmark; we are therefore very proud to be awarded this accreditation and further improve our levels of standards into our new membership year. Scott is leaving us shortly but his work was fundamental to delivery of this objective. The club thanks him and wishes him and his family well.
