We are thrilled to announce that Glasnevin Tennis Club has been granted the prestigious opportunity to host the ITF J30 tournament in the second week of July. This highly regarded Junior International Tournament (U18) will attract top-notch young players from Europe and beyond, including Ireland's finest budding talents. It marks a significant milestone in the history of Glasnevin, as we proudly present an event of this caliber for the first time ever, promising an unforgettable week of tennis.
The ITF Junior Circuit serves as the battleground for young, aspiring professionals, laying the foundation for their journey towards the pinnacle of the tennis world. As you watch the excitement unfold at Roland Garros this fortnight, keep in mind that players like Victoria Azarenka, Taylor Fritz, Andrey Rublev, Belinda Bencic, and numerous others once competed in these very junior tournaments before rising to become Junior World Number 1 and transitioning to the professional circuit.
Taking place immediately after our Senior Open Week, the tournament will run from Saturday, July 8th to Friday, July 14th, with the most action-packed days falling on Monday, July 10th, and Tuesday, July 11th. The tournament follows a knockout format, culminating in the highly anticipated finals scheduled for the morning of Friday, July 14th.
